Kirundo is a northern province of Burundi, located at high altitudes in a unique microclimate. The plantations here are scattered across steep hills at an altitude of 1500–2000 meters. The proximity to lakes provides the necessary moisture, while fertile volcanic soils create an ideal foundation for nourishing the coffee trees. Local farmers, who own small family plots, unite in cooperatives to jointly invest in washing stations and strictly control the quality of hand-harvesting.

The Red Bourbon variety, renowned for its sweetness and complexity, traditionally dominates this region. For this lot, the classic Fully Washed processing method was applied. Ripe cherries are depulped, fermented in clean spring water, and thoroughly washed. The beans are then slowly dried on raised African beds. This method ensures crystal-clear cup clarity, a bright yet delicate acidity, and a juicy, tea-like body.
