The Gera region is located in southwestern Ethiopia, within the Jimma zone. It is the cradle of wild forest coffee, where trees grow in the natural shade of tropical forests at an altitude of 1800–2000 meters. Local farmers harvest cherries from wild and semi-wild trees, carefully preserving the fragile ecosystem. The volcanic soil and abundant rainfall provide a unique terroir, and the genetic diversity of local varieties is unparalleled worldwide.

For this lot, mixed local varieties known as "Heirloom," along with the Limu selection, were chosen. The coffee undergoes traditional Natural processing: ripe cherries are dried on raised African beds under the hot sun with regular turning. During the slow drying process, the bean absorbs the fruity esters of the mucilage, creating a bright, juicy cup with expressive notes of apricot, red currant, and pink grapefruit.
